1.6 Candidate Selection candidate selection

Candidate Selection Rubric and Tracking Sheet

This artifact explicitly addresses the italicized parts of the criteria.

Indicator 1.6 - In making final decisions about candidate selection, a diverse and inclusive panel of program stakeholders considers evidence of applicants’ commitment to equity, demonstrated leadership skills and potential, and whether partner districts view them as potential hires.

Description: Supporting documents from Ashland University that orient the candidate selection panel to their roles, a rubric for scoring the applicants’ submissions, and the aggregate tracking sheet to look at scores across applicants. To see the written and video prompts described in the rubric, see artifacts saved under Indicator 1.5 Assessment of Applicants’ Leadership Potential.

Why we selected this as an exemplar:  Our team thought the process outlined in the introductory email and the rubric and scoring sheet were thorough examples of inclusion and orientation for a diverse panel of stakeholders and a thoughtful process for looking at rating reliability from each stakeholder.
