Sarah Birkeland
A former elementary and middle school teacher, Sarah Birkeland (she/her) is passionate about helping teachers and principals succeed. Sarah has spent the last twenty years studying, advising, designing and directing programs of educator preparation and support. She is thrilled to be part of the Quality Measures Center’s efforts to champion and sustain high-quality, equity-centered principal preparation nation-wide.
Sarah holds a BA in English from Stanford, an MA in Education Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver and an EdD in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard. In her spare time you can find her reading, swimming, biking, baking, or trying to convince her two teenaged daughters to accompany her on a hike.
