Recruitment and Outreach Plan

This artifact explicitly addresses the italicized parts of the criteria. 

Indicator 1.3 – Faculty and district partners co-develop focused recruitment practices to attract applicants who demonstrate commitment to participating in an equity-centered program and whose skills and philosophies are consistent with district needs. Practices include direct outreach and publicity through a variety of modes (e.g., social media, website, and virtual or in-person events) 

Description: This artifact describes the vision for a new outreach and recruitment plan by Portland State University and the proposed activities that will support their recruitment efforts. This strategy emphasizes individualized outreach efforts by faculty and staff, including personalized emails and attending local events.

Why we selected this as an exemplar:  Our team thought this was a good example for Indicator 1.3 because the artifact demonstrates the organization’s commitment to recruiting equity-centered leaders, outlines an organized strategy (including proposed budget) for faculty outreach, and shows an intentional through line between PSU’s marketing vision, beliefs, and proposed outreach activities.
