In recent years, a growing number of Texas-based principal preparation program teams have been working together in cohorts to use the Quality Measures process for program self-study and ongoing improvement. EDC-trained peer facilitators guide the cohorts (of 4 programs each) through the QM self-study process. Each program forms a self-study team of program faculty, affiliated school district representatives, recent graduates, and other stakeholders.
We are currently recruiting Texas-based principal preparation programs for the following: Cohort 6 (spring 2024), Cohort 7 (fall 2024), and Cohort 8 (spring 2025). Any Texas-based principal preparation program is eligible to join this initiative, supported by a grant from The Wallace Foundation. Participation is free.
The QM Texas cohort opportunity is most beneficial to principal preparation program teams who are…
- committed to continuous programmatic improvement
- open to collaborating with other principal prep programs
- interested in preparing equity-centered leaders
- have the capacity to participate in meetings
For more information read our QM Texas Frequently Asked Questions. And, if you are ready to join, please complete an Interest Form and a member of the QM Center team will respond promptly.
The QM Texas cohort opportunity is being offered and facilitated by the Quality Measures Center at EDC with support from the Texas Education Agency. Funding for Quality Measures in Texas comes from The Wallace Foundation.
